No, but to take full advantage of the new tools and visibility, we encourage all our legacy developers to register for the Solution program and then request to join the Technology tier. This is the best way to ensure your profile is future-proofed.
Yes. Building tailored, private solutions for specific client needs is a core part of what you can do. You'll use the Developer console to deploy these apps directly to your clients' environments.
As a verified Solution partner, you'll receive direct project leads through the partner directory. When a business needs a specialized solution that doesn't exist out of the box, they can reach out to you with a custom offer, turning your skills into a consistent revenue stream.
These apps are staying in place. You can still profit from their usage and maintain them in the Developer console, but you cannot build new public apps.
