Does Text use my data to train its AI models?

No. Text does not use Client Data, including your Inputs or Outputs, to train or improve general-purpose AI models, nor do we contribute Client Data to third-party training datasets for the same purposes.

AI-related features process your data only as permitted under the Agreement, including to provide the requested Services and generate Outputs for your organization.

When we refer to “training” in the Services, this means per-client configuration or customization (such as indexing a private knowledge base or configuring a chatbot), not the training of shared AI models.

Who owns the data and AI outputs?

You (the Client) retain ownership of Inputs (data you, your Users, or End-Users submit), and Outputs (AI-generated responses produced for you in response to your Inputs) to the extent permitted by law. Subject to applicable law and third-party rights:

  • You retain intellectual-property rights in your Inputs and Outputs.

  • Text does not claim ownership of Outputs generated for you.

Because AI systems are probabilistic, please remember that:

  • Outputs may not be unique or error-free.

  • Similar Inputs from different clients may result in similar Outputs.

What is the difference between Client Data and Services Data?

  • Client Data: Inputs you provide and Outputs generated for your organization.

  • Services Data: Data Text generates to operate, secure, maintain, and improve the Services (for example, system logs, error reports, usage metrics, or aggregated statistics). Services Data is processed in a way that does not identify individual clients.

Can AI Outputs include third-party content or errors?

Yes. Outputs may contain or resemble publicly available or third-party content, and include inaccuracies, omissions, or unintended results. AI Outputs are generated automatically and should not be treated as verified, authoritative, or legally binding without human review before publication.

What security protections are in place for my data?

Text protects Client Data using industry-standard technical and organizational measures, including appropriate encryption and access controls, proportionate to the nature and sensitivity of the data.

How does Text handle subprocessors (third-party providers)?

Text may use vetted subprocessors to help deliver the Services, including AI-related features. Safeguards include: a published list of subprocessors, advance notice of changes with a reasonable right to object, and contractual obligations that protect Client Data. Text remains responsible for subprocessors’ acts and omissions as required under the Agreement and applicable data-protection laws.

Will Text ever share my data with other clients?

No. Client Data is treated as confidential and is not shared between clients. While similar Inputs from different clients may generate similar or identical Outputs due to the nature of AI systems, this does not involve sharing Client Data and does not constitute a confidentiality breach.

Are AI functionalities covered by Text’s warranties and liabilities?

AI tools are an integral part of Text’s Services and are governed by the same contractual protections, warranties, safeguards, and liability framework that apply to the Services as a whole under the Agreement. This approach ensures consistent standards for security, reliability, and compliance across all features, including AI.

AI Outputs are generated automatically and are provided “as is.” While Text stands behind the operation of its Services, it does not guarantee that Outputs will be accurate, complete, unique, or free from third-party rights.

What should I know when using AI Outputs?

AI Outputs are designed to support your workflows and are generated based on probabilistic models. As a result:

  • Outputs may contain errors or omissions, and

  • Similar Inputs may result in similar Outputs for different clients.

You should apply human judgment and appropriate review before relying on or acting upon AI Outputs.

Text provides AI tools as part of the Services but does not monitor, validate, or control how they and Outputs are used. Responsibility for decisions made using AI Outputs remains with the Client.
